Patrick Kane will no longer be honored by his former junior team, the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League, at their upcoming training camp, reports Ryan Pyette of The London Free Press.
The Chicago Blackhawks star forward was among four former Knights: Corey Perry, Rick Nash and Dave Bolland to represent teams of 20 players each at the camp. The 26-year-old Kaner is the subject of an ongoing police investigation for an alleged incident at his home Aug. 2 in Hamburg, N.Y.
"We're going to change the name and there will not be a Team Kane at training camp," London GM Basil McRae told The London Free Press.
