The window to impress the Chicago Blackhawks coaching staff is limited.
While Wednesday was only the first preseason game, there isn’t a whole lot of time remaining to catch someone’s eye. The Blackhawks have five preseason games left and three of them come on consecutive days, beginning on Friday. And with players returning on a daily basis from the World Cup, some of those preseason lineup spots will begin to be filled by established NHL players.
In the Blackhawks’ 2-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday, there were some players who began building a case to be in the NHL and others who didn’t.
