NHL Mock Draft 2019: SB Nation projects the first round

With less than a week until the actual NHL draft in Vancouver, SB Nation conducted its annual mock draft with writers selecting their respective team’s first-round pick. Trades are allowed to be made.

  1. Rangers — Arthur Kaliyev, RW, Hamilton-OHL (Blueshirt Banter) via trade with COL (Trade Details - To COL: 20th overall and To NYR: 16th overall)
  2. Flyers — Ville Heinola, D, Luukko-Liiga via draft trade with CGY (Broad Street Hockey) (Trade Details - To PHI: 26th overall and To CGY: 41st overall + 72nd overall)
  3. Avalanche — Spencer Knight, G, USNTDP-USHL (Mile High Hockey) via draft trade with Bruins (Trade Details - To COL: 30th overall and To BOS: 47th overall + 49th overall)
  4. Wild — Brett Leason, RW, WHL-Prince Albert (Hockey Wilderness) via draft trade with Sabres via Blues (Trade Details - To BUF: RW Jason Zucker and TO MINN: 31st overall + RW Alex Nylander)
