Bobby Hull along with the rest of the Chicago Black Hawks’ 1961 championship team are among the names from 1954-65 that will be removed from the Cup this spring to for a new layer of champions, according to the Associated Press. The 1954-65 ring will be the third to be removed and displayed at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto.
The process off removing a layer is done to keep the 3 feet trophy mobile. In addition to the 1961 Black Hawks’ team, the likes of Gordie Howe and Maurice Richard will also be removed from the iconic trophy.
