The Chicago Blackhawks re-signed Rockford IceHogs captain Jake Dowell to a one-year AHL contract on Tuesday.
Dowell had 11 goals and 24 assists in 72 regular-season games last season, which were good enough for a spot on the AHL All-Star team.
