Former Chicago Blackhawks development coach and advanced scout Mike Sullivan led the Pittsburgh Penguins behind the bench to its fourth Stanley Cup title in franchise history with a 3-1 win over the San Jose Sharks in Game 6 on Sunday in San Jose.
Following Sullivan's stint in Chicago for the 2014-15 season, he was hired as the Penguins' AHL coach for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in June 2015. He was then promoted to Pittsburgh's head coach upon the firing of then-head coach Mike Johnston.
Former Hawks defenseman Trevor Daley, who was acquired after Sullivan was hired, also played a hand in Pittsburgh's title run.
