Morning Bag Skate: Ex-Blackhawks coach Alpo Suhonen named Austria's coach

Former Chicago Blackhawks head coach Alpo Suhonen has been named the new coach for the Austrian men's national team.

Shuhonen, 67, was the first European-born NHL coach in more than 50 years when he was named Chicago's coach in 2000-01 season. He coached the Hawks to a 29-41-8-4 record in one season before he was replaced by Brian Sutter.

San Jose beat St. Louis in Game 6 to advance to their first trip to the Stanley Cup Final. Pittsburgh and Tampa Bay will play in Game 7 with a trip to the Cup Final on the line.
