Morning Bag Skate: Blackhawks trim roster to 31

The Chicago Blackhawks reassigned forward Brandon Mashinter and defenseman Cameron Schilling to AHL Rockford on Monday. They also released forwards Tomas Kopecky and Daniel Paille and defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky, who were on tryout contracts, to trim its active roster to 31 players.

The Hawks are off until Thursday when they head south on I-55 to face the St. Louis Blues.
