In the NCAA tournament, Hawks prospect Dennis Gilbert and Notre Dame advanced to the regional final against UMass-Lowell, who shut out Cornell and Beau Starrett, for a spot in the Frozen Four. Chad Krys and Boston fell to Minnesota-Duluth in the regional final.
