So did Brandon Davidson and Joe Morrow. For now at least.
The Canadiens placed Andreas Martinsen and Byron Froese on waivers Monday and sent Charlie Lindgren down to the Laval Rocket, leaving their current roster at 24 players; 13 forwards, nine defencemen and two goalies.
Depending on whether David Schlemko is ready to play by Thursday, the Canadiens may have just settled their opening night roster.
