After squandering a three-goal lead against the Vegas Golden Knights Saturday, the Blackhawks decided to one-up themselves by wasting a four-goal lead against the Buffalo Sabres, falling 6-5 in the final seconds of the game Monday night.
The Blackhawks opened the scoring 7:53 into the first period. Taylor Raddysh sold the fake shot from the slot before passing to Calvin de Haan, who one-timed the puck into the back of the net to make it 1-0.
Sam Lafferty extended the Blackhawks lead at 13:44 in the period after an all-around excellent shift from the forward.
