ST. LOUIS — Jimmy Waite isn’t much different from his Chicago Blackhawks goalies.
They all over-analyze the goals they give up, and the bad ones sting hard. And that’s what Waite felt like he allowed as the game-winner in the Blackhawks-Blues Winter Classic alumni game at Busch Stadium on Saturday.
“I take it hard,” Waite said following the Blackhawks’ 8-7 loss. “I gave up a bad goal, and that cost the game.”
Just as bad, he knows Blackhawks goalies Corey Crawford and Scott Darling will let him know all about it on Sunday. Darling was in attendance at Busch Stadium.
