Carl Dahlstrom will play in the NHL again, but it won’t be for the Blackhawks after the Jets claimed him off waivers Tuesday.
Dahlstrom was vying for the seventh defenseman role for Chicago this season, but Slater Koekkoek took the role. Dahlstrom split last season between the AHL and NHL, recording eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 22 AHL games and six assists in 39 NHL outings. The Blackhawks signed him to a two-year contract extension worth $850,000 per season in March before he was set to become a restricted free agent.
