For Jeremy Colliton to pick up his first NHL career coaching win he’ll have to overcome the Blackhawks’ mysterious 22-year-old regular-season losing streak in Philadelphia. Chicago has dropped 14 consecutive regular-season games since Nov. 9, 1996, in the city of Brotherly Love.
The Blackhawks’ lone win since 1996 came in Game 6 of the 2010 Stanley Cup Final when Patrick Kane scored the Cup-clinching goal in overtime to end the franchise’s championship drought.
Colliton will be behind the bench for a second time since the Blackhawks fired three-time Stanley Cup winner Joel Quenneville.
