Blackhawks general manager Stan Bowman will head to Vancouver with seven picks for the NHL draft, which is June 21-22.
Here’s how he acquired them:
First round — No. 3
Chicago entered the NHL draft lottery with the No. 12 pick and a 3 percent chance to land the No. 3 overall pick. The Blackhawks ended up with the pick and will pick at No. 3 for the first time since 2006, when they selected captain Jonathan Toews.
Second round — No. 43
This is Chicago’s own pick.
