The Chicago Blackhawks are getting use to welcoming back former players. And when they do it has become a custom to play a tribute video to remember the memories the player had while donning the red and white sweater for Chicago.
On Sunday, the Hawks played a tribute video for Andrew Shaw. The forward won two Stanley Cups in 2013 and 2015 during his five seasons stint with Chicago before being dealt to Montreal for two second-round picks June 24. He signed a six-year extension worth $23.4 million four days later.
Shaw has no shortage of fans in Chicago, so it wasn’t surprising to see the raucous reaction he got in the United Center when the video started playing.
