Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Brian Campbell scored a power play goal in the first period against the Washington Capitals on Friday night, which is probably way less common than you think. It’s the first time Campbell has scored a goal with a man advantage in exactly two years.
Campbell isn’t a big-time shooter, instead operating more as a playmaker, so he doesn’t usually take booming shots from the blue line. He ripped that one past Braden Holtby, though, and showed that he can still rear back and fire one off when he gets the time and space.
