Chicago Blackhawks forward prospect Luke Johnson has felt a little bit of everything in the past few weeks.
He felt pain when he suffered a severe knee sprain while playing for North Dakota in the Frozen Four semifinals. He felt disappointment in not being able to play in the championship. He felt anxiety in having to watch the game from the stands. He finally felt joy when North Dakota won the NCAA title.
It’s that last feeling that continues to trump all the others.
“It’s hard to explain,” the 21-year-old Johnson said by phone on Friday.
