Jeff Glass never planned to play in the KHL for seven years.
The original plan was to play there for one year. It turned into seven.
Glass was the seventh goalie taken in the 2004 NHL draft and went to the Ottawa Senators in the third round. After turning pro, he got stuck in the AHL. He eventually decided to look at what else was out there after a fourth consecutive AHL season.
He found the KHL. He signed with Barys Astana for a season, had some success, signed for another season and so on. Before he knew it, he was 30 years old and had been in the KHL for seven seasons.
