Here are four takeaways from the Blackhawks' 4-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena on Wednesday:
1. Turnovers doom Blackhawks
The Blackhawks certainly looked like the better team in this one, but glaring turnovers proved to be costly and they gifted their opponent a pair of goals.
On the first one that tied it up at 1-1, Nick Schmaltz made the right play by trying to feed a streaking Brent Seabrook but the pass was well behind him and it ricocheted off the boards perfectly to Jake Virtanen, who converted on the breakaway.
