The Philadelphia Flyers and Tampa Bay Lightning exchanged pending unrestricted free agents on Wednesday, with forward Valtteri Filppula going to Philly and defenseman Mark Streit headed to Tampa.
The Flyers also get a fourth-round draft pick and a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2017 draft.
Both teams were on the fence when it came to being buyers or sellers at the trade deadline.
