Daniel Paille signed a professional tryout agreement with the Chicago Blackhawks' AHL affiliate Rockford IceHogs, the team announced Tuesday.
Paille, 31, was released from a tryout with the Blackhawks on Monday. He spent the past five-plus seasons with the Boston Bruins, and the winger has cracked double-digit goals just once during that span, and last reached 20 points during the 2009-10 season. Last season, he had 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 71 games with Boston.
The left-shooting winger isn't known for his offense, and generally takes more zone starts on the defensive end from game-to-game.
