Cougars coach Brad Stoeffers on Hawks-Wild supporting Matt Olson

The Blackhawks and Minnesota Wild have partnered up in an effort to raise funds for injured hockey player Matt Olson, a Minnesota native, who suffered a severe spinal cord injury in February while playing junior hockey for the Chicago Cougars when he fell head-first into the boards.

Cougars coach Brad Stoeffers joined SportsTalk Live on Friday to express his appreciating towards both NHL teams.

"It's real special," said Stoeffers. "What they've done is just tremendous. We love to see the support and we can't wait to see the game on Tuesday."

When the Blackhawks and Wild clash on Tuesday in Minnesota, both teams will wear special decals on their helmet to show their support, one of many gestures in a game that will be dedicated to Matt.
