The Chicago Blackhawks’ road trip couldn’t have come at a worse time for goalie Corey Crawford.
Just as he was feeling better from his recent appendectomy surgery and ready to get on the ice, there was nobody to play with.
“It’s nice to see them again,” Crawford said on Tuesday. “That road trip felt like an eternity. But it’s good to be back on the ice and seeing shots again.”
Crawford rejoined his teammates on the ice for the first time in two-plus weeks on Tuesday. He began skating without them last week. The plan is for him to return to game action against the Colorado Avalanche on Friday.
