The Chicago Steel acquired Blackhawks forward prospect Josiah Slavin in a trade with the Lincoln Stars on Tuesday afternoon. The suburban-based Chicago team out of Geneva also received defenseman Hunter Carrick of Orland Park in exchange for forward Ryan Doolin, draft picks and future considerations.
Slavin, who was selected by the Blackhawks in the seventh round of the 2018 NHL draft, has 10 goals and 28 points in 32 USHL games this season. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound left winger had 23 goals and 42 points in 60 games during his first USHL campaign prior to being drafted.
