This is probably the first week I’d deem “critical” for the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2015-16 season. Central Division competition ramps up, but specifically against the teams right beneath the Blackhawks in the standings. After a confidence-inspiring win against Winnipeg on Sunday, are the Blackhawks finally turning the corner?
Last week was shaping up to be a pretty disappointing one until the win against the Jets. The Blackhawks lost at home against division foe Minnesota and took just one point from Ottawa on the road. Three points in six games certainly isn’t going to cut it in the Central, but we can at least hope things are getting straightened out after a grind-it-out win against the Jets.
