Since being drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks 18th overall in 2012, the expectations for Teuvo Teravainen have been high. Rightfully so. Teravainen entered the Blackhawks organization as an impressive play-making center, having already played three seasons with Jokerit Helsinki in the Finnish Elite League, tallying 93 points in 133 games by the age of 18. When he debuted in March 2014 with the Blackhawks, the projections were that Teravainen could one day become the next Patrick Kane for Chicago, bringing a ton of speed, flare and flash to his game.
Fast forward to the end of the 2015-16 season for the Blackhawks and Teravainen is seen as a potential trade piece for Chicago as the salary cap crunch hits the Blackhawks once again.
