Chicago Blackhawks: On This Date In History

On this date in Chicago Blackhawks history looks back at a couple playoff moments in the great story that is the Chicago Blackhawks team history.

On May 6, 1996 at the United Center against the Colorado Avalanche the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Av’s 4-3 in overtime.  An unexpected hero scored the game winner for the Chicago Blackhawks and at the time it was the quickest overtime goal scored in Chicago Blackhawks history.  Sergei Krivokrasov took a feed from a standing still Eric Daze and fired one that was deflected past Patrick Roy for the Hawks OT win.  Here is the video of the goal, it’s great to see Jeremy Roenick and Eddie Belfour once again in a Hawks jersey.
