The Chicago Blackhawks prospect camp starts today, and after two and a half months of no Blackhawks hockey to watch, there will finally be something on the ice to talk about when the latest batch of prospects hit the ice.
The biggest player I think all Chicago Blackhawks fans are excited to see on the ice has to be Nick Schmaltz. Before GM Stan Bowman sent Teuvo Teravainen to Carolina as a throw in with Bryan Bickell deal, it didn’t look like Schmaltz would be a possibility to sign with Chicago.
With Teuvo Time out of town, Bowman had the opportunity to most likely tell Schmaltz he had every opportunity to make the team when training camp opens up in September.
