The Chicago Blackhawks will host their “Hockey Fights Cancer Night” during tonight’s game against the St. Louis Blues. In support of cancer awareness, the Blackhawks will wear lavender jerseys in pregame warm-ups, and the coaches, staffs and broadcasters of both teams will wear lavender ties. The ties and jerseys will be auctioned off on chicagoblackhawks.com from Nov. 4-18, and the proceeds will be donated to Chicago Blackhawks Charities and local cancer charities.
In addition the Blackhawks have partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to have local Children on the Ice for a special pregame recognition, while other children will ride the zambonis during intermission.
