Tonight, the Chicago Blackhawks are looking to bounce back from a 6-3 loss to the Boston Bruins with a better performance against the New Jersey Devils. While fans are focused on getting back in the win column, one of the forwards will be hitting a milestone tonight.
Chris Kunitz will be skating in his 1000th NHL game in front of the home crowd at the United Center. The 39-year-old winger has played for five teams through 15 seasons, compiling 613 points in 999 games.
Prior to the start of his professional career, Kunitz played for Ferris State University, where he was nominated for the Hobey Baker Award his senior year.
