After a solid showing throughout preseason and in the Traverse City prospect tournament, Adam Boqvist, 19, has been sent down to the Rockford IceHogs to start off the 2019-20 season.
That isn’t a surprising move, considering the amount of depth the Blackhawks have on defense and the players not having 2-way deals, so they’re stuck up in the NHL.
It’s better to have Adam Boqvist playing each game in Rockford and get more ice time, rather than being scratched in 41 NHL games and playing every other game, due to a crowded Blackhawks’ blue line.
