If ever there was a time our beloved Chicago Blackhawks are missing the likes of their once highly touted defensive prospects Adam Clendening, Klas Dahlbeck, and Stephen Johns, it’s now. With Duncan Keith, the cornerstone of the ‘Hawks’ defense sidelined for potentially multiple months, a blue line that is already struggling to realign and re-identify itself in the wake of Johnny Oduya’s departure has been dealt a severe blow.
Not surprisingly, there are many in Hawks Nation speculating a trade will be made for a veteran defensemen to fill the void left by Keith, and for good reason, as Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman has already employed this modus operandi just last season in reaction to Patrick Kane’s long-term injury.
