Brian Campbell wasn’t moving his family again.
Campbell, 38, was set on remaining in the Chicago area one way or another. After last season, Campbell wasn’t sure which way that would be.
“We'll see what happens,” Campbell said after last season. “I don't know. As I said, I don't want to go anywhere. We'll see. We'll see where things go. I felt good. My body feels good. But need to take some time to get away from everything and think about it.”
Finally on Monday, Campbell announced his next move. He is retiring after 17 NHL seasons and joining the Blackhawks in an off-ice capacity.
