Brent Seabrook won’t play for the Blackhawks against the Oilers in a Stanley Cup Qualifier series.
The 35-year-old defenseman was a full participant during Chicago’s Phase 3 training camp the past two weeks, but informed general manager Stan Bowman on Thursday that he won’t travel with the team Sunday to Edmonton.
“I’m not going to go,” Seabrook said during his first media session since March 1. “My main focus was to come here to play and to see how I felt and get up to speed as fast as I could.
