It was not a great night for the Blue Jackets on Saturday in Nationwide Arena. Sergei Bobrovsky had shaky spells, the defense was spotty and inconsistent, and the Blue Jackets were the first team to blink when a tight game entered the nervy moments.
The Kings – at 6-0-1 the NHL's only team without a regulation loss – scored with 2:14 to play, added an empty-net goal, and won 6-4, the most goals hung on the Jackets so far this season.
But there was a welcomed sight on the ice. Boone Jenner, who missed all of training camp and the first seven games of the season because of an off-season back injury, made his season debut with no signs of limitation or rust.
