Collin Delia made 35 saves in his NHL season debut to lead the Blackhawks to their first three-game winning streak with a 2-1 victory over the Avalanche on Friday at Pepsi Center in Denver.
Delia has now won both his NHL season debuts. He made 25 stops last season against Winnipeg on March 29 in Chicago.
Alex DeBrincat and Artem Anisimov each scored for Chicago.
JT Compher, a Northbrook, Illinois native, tallied the lone goal for Colorado. Philipp Grubauer made 26 saves in the loss.
Delia made his presence known in the early stages of the first period, after an early wave from Colorado saw the Avs pressure the goaltender with a handful of early scoring chances.
