Marian Hossa recorded his 500th goal in the NHL as the Chicago Blackhawks edged the Philadelphia Flyers for a 7-4 win on Tuesday night. A backhand shot past the right side of Michal Neuvirth allowed the 37-year-old to reach the milestone.
He was understandably deserving of a standing ovation in the United Center:
Before Hossa’s milestone-breaking goal, the Hawks came out flying in the game, with Patrick Kane netting his first goal of the season just 56 seconds into play to put the Hawks ahead early.
