Scott Darling will get the start in net for the Chicago Blackhawks when they visits the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night in Denver.
Darling has not played since Dec. 10 and has not earned a victory since Nov. 15 when the Hawks beat the Calgary Flames on the road 4-1. Corey Crawford will serve as a backup on his 31st birthday after staring the previous nine games.
