The Chicago Blackhawks are expected to sign Czech forward David Kampf to a two-year, entry-level contract, reports TSN’s Darren Dreger.
Kampf, 22, has played the past two seasons for Piráti Chomutov of Czech Extraliga, the top league in the country. He scored 15 goals and had 16 assists in 52 games this season. It’s a big improvement from his rookie season with Piráti Chomutov, when he tallied nine goals and four assists in 42 games.
Kampf, who comes in at 6-foot-2 and 192 pounds, has found success at the international level for his country.
