Blackhawks surprisingly reassign Marko Dano to AHL Rockford

The Chicago Blackhawks have surprisingly re-assigned forward Marko Dano to the Rockford IceHogs. The team announced the move along with several other re-assignments on Friday.

Dano, 20, is on an entry-level contract and had 21 points (eight goals) in 35 games for Columbus in his first NHL season. He had 19 points (11 goals) in 39 games for the Springfield Falcons of the AHL in 2014-15. The Hawks acquired him during the summer as part of the Brandon Saad trade. He was expected to make the team but will head to Rockford for extra seasoning.
