Blackhawks sign prospect Philipp Kurashev to a 3-year entry-level contract

The Blackhawks signed forward prospect Philipp Kurashev to a three-year entry-level contract worth $925,000 annually through the 2021-22 season Tuesday.

Kurashev leads the Quebec Remparts with 28 goals, 34 assists and 62 points in 57 games in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League this season. He also scored a tournament-high six goals and finished seventh among all skaters with seven points for Switzerland at the World Junior Championship.

He will remain with the Remparts.

The 19-year-old center has 68 goals and 108 assists in 181 regular-season games and eight points (two goals, six assists) in 10 playoff outings for the Remparts.
