The Blackhawks signed another Swedish forward to a one-year contract Monday with center Lucas Wallmark, according to Pierre LeBrun of TSN. The deal is worth $950,000.
The 25-year-old Wallmark was an unrestricted free agent. He scored 23 points (11 goals, 12 assists) in 60 games with the Hurricanes before he was traded to the Panthers along with Erik Haula, Eetu Luostarinen and Chase Priskie for Vincent Trocheck on Feb. 24. Wallmark (6 foot, 176 pounds) scored a goal and two points in seven games and had no points in two postseason games with Florida.
