The Blackhawks have signed forward David Kampf to a two-year, $1.85 million entry-level contract, according to a source.
Kampf, 22, had 15 goals and 16 assists in 52 games for Pirati Chomutov in the Czech Extraliga this past season. He has played in the Czech Republic throughout his career.
Kampf will have a cap hit of $925,000. He does not have any performance or games played bonuses in his contract.
Kampf is 6-foot-2 and 192 pounds. He’s a left-handed shot and has played center and right wing.
Kampf joins a number of other new forwards who will enter the Blackhawks’ NHL roster pool next season.
