Blackhawks sign Dennis Rasmussen to one-year extension

The Blackhawks announced Thursday that forward Dennis Rasmussen has signed a one-year deal with the club. He was a restricted free agent and the Blackhawks had made him a qualifying offer to retain his rights.

ESPN's Scott Powers reports that the deal is two-way and has an average annual value of $575,000.

Rasmussen, known as "Moose" to his teammates, had 13 goals and 27 points in 73 games for the Rockford Icehogs this season. He was briefly called up to the Blackhawks during a west coast trip, but did not play any NHL games.
