The Blackhawks signed defenseman Kyle Cumiskey to a one-year deal on Thursday morning.
Cumiskey, who most recently was on a PTO with the Rockford IceHogs, has been recovering from a lower-body injury. Coach Joel Quenneville said prior to the regular season that Cumiskey and Michal Rozsival, who is coming off a fractured left ankle sustained last May, were on the same return timetable. Rozsival could start skating with the Blackhawks next week.
