The Blackhawks signed unrestricted free agent forward David Kampf to a two-year contract worth $1 million per season, the team announced Monday.
Kampf was a full-time NHL starter last season, with 19 points (four goals, 15 assists) in 63 games for the Blackhawks. He became a UFA when the team did not give him a qualifying offer.
The 24-year-old missed a month of action from Feb. 5 to March 7 with a broken bone in his right foot after blocking a shot in a game against Edmonton. He tallied one goal and two assists in 13 games once he returned.
