Blackhawks release statement on Marian Hossa’s legacy

The Chicago Blackhawks traded forward Marian Hossa to the Arizona Coyotes in a seven-player trade Thursday.

Chicago acquired forwards Marcus Kruger, MacKenzie Entwistle, Joran Maletta and defenseman Andrew Campbell and a 2019 fifth-round pick, in exchange for Hossa, forward Vinnie Hinostroza, defenseman Jordan Oesterle and a 2019 third-round pick.

After announcing the trade, the Hawks released the following statement about Hossa, who won three Stanley Cups with Chicago after signing as a free agent in July 2009.
