The Blackhawks dominated theIslanders on the scoreboard on Friday night, winning 5-2 on Friday at United Center in front of the second-largest crowd of the season.
Chicago got first goals from Dennis Gilbert (the first of his career) and Matthew Highmore (the first of his season) and an excellent performance from Robin Lehner against his former team, making 38 saves.
There was also nice performances from important leaders like Duncan Keith and Dylan Strome — two assists each — as well as Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Alex DeBrincat and Dominik Kubalik, each of whom got one point.
