Mark McNeill has been on a hot streak with the Rockford IceHogs. On Monday, it appears he got rewarded for those outings.
The Blackhawks recalled McNeill from the IceHogs on Monday morning. McNeill has 19 points (nine goals, 10 assists) in 29 games with Rockford this season. The forward is also coming off a six-game point streak in which he recorded four goals and three assists from Jan. 12-Saturday.
If McNeill plays on Tuesday night against the Carolina Hurricanes, he would be making his NHL debut. Where he would go in the lineup is uncertain at the moment.
